Second vintage of Blanc del Mayte. An incredible xarel·lo grape that we could not help but enhance.

In this campaign, a winter end with fairly cold weeks led to a late outbreak entering as of April. The spring was jointly dry although the rains of May gave enough humidity for the vines to overcome the historic heatwave of the end of June. Then the summer was dry again and with new heat strokes in the week of Sant Jaume; so many uniqueities in the same vintage prevented us from a different evolution of maturation, and this led us to make a much more accurate selection and follow-up of the grapes destined for Blanc de Mayte.

Warm and dry year as a whole, with some weeks of late winter and early spring colder, and later with strong heat strokes in the months of June and July, summer with the same tonic of heat and scarce rain and with a very high solar irradiation.

Vintage 2019:
Very particular year, marked early by a late outbreak followed by moderate growth, but always active during spring and favoured by scarce and timely rains in April and May; a period of flowering appropriate for a good quallat of the grapes and later some strong heat strokes that led to the acceleration of maturation. As a result, the sarments were obtained between 80 and 110 cm, ideal for nurturing the grapes of each sarment in this year of good fertility with an average of 1.12 grapes per outbreak. The fieldwork has adapted to the conditions of the year, the pruning in green has been soft and this has protected the grapes from damage from heatwaves and has ploughed very superficially the soil to keep the maximum moisture available to the plants. The advanced maturation we expected was even more precipitated, and we can say that fortunately having followed it with great perseverance made it easier for us to harvest the grapes in time with outstanding freshness and acidity.
The flowering period was also respectful of a good quallate The flowering was that feeding the lengths of shoots were

Analysis

Advanced analysis (03 / 15/2020):

Visual analysis: Murky with lemon yellow colour with shades with still green reflections.

Olfactory analysis: Intense aromas of ripe white fruit, peach and grapefruit. Fresh notes of Mediterranean herbs such as chamomile and typhoons. The first memories of aging appear in boots with sweet memories of bee wax.

Gustatory analysis: Good taste balance that provides the degree and acidity. Battonage and barrel aging also appear in the mouth.
